Making the Transition to Middle School

Students making the transition to Year 8 at Roxby Downs Area School will join a thriving Middle School.

Located in two classroom blocks, students will enjoy a Home Economics facility, Science Laboratories, two dedicated Computing Suites, two well established Visual Arts rooms, a Drama Room, a Music/Radio Room as well as appointed air-conditioned classrooms.

Camps

All secondary students attend a yearly camp.  Year 8 students take part in an Adelaide Camp and Year 9 students undertake an Aquatics Camp at Port Vincent.

Student Voice

Students are elected to the school's Student Voice committee from each class. They develop leadership skills, interact with a a broader cross section of the school, and participate in decision making to help create an even better school.

Sports

Roxby Downs Area School offers opportunities for students to participate and support a range of sports at school, the district and at regional levels.  ie  WASSAC.

Students also participate and support the RDAS Sports Day and Swimming Carnival.  These days combine competition with fun and are enjoyed by all.
