Opportunities
Students wishing for University entry at the end of Year 12 will find studying at RDAS to be quite competitive with the metropolitan area. This is because country students attract bonus points for being in a remote location. Subjects studied by Distance Education also attract extra points.
A Senior Room creates a pleasant learning environment for students where they have ample access to state of the art computers. In 2008 students will have access to a wireless network for student use of laptop computers.

Student Voice
School Captains are selected annually from the Year 12 students and play a key role in representing the school.
School Based Apprenticeships
School Based New Apprenticeships are offered to Year 11 & 12 students. Students join the workforce while at the same time completing their SACE. This involves one day per week in the workforce as well as study modules to gain TAFE accreditation.
Sports
Roxby Downs Area School offers opportunities for students to participate and support a range of sports at school, the district and at regional levels. ie WASSAC.
Students also participate and support the RDAS Sports Day and Swimming Carnival. These days combine competition with fun and are enjoyed by all. House Captains are elected from eligible year 11 & 12 students.
