Information Technology at RDAS

Roxby Downs Area School has three computer labs, two are located in the 7-12 area of the school and one computer lab is located in the R-6 area. Each classroom also has its own computer terminal and the Junior primary and Primary levels classes each have an Ipad.. The computer suites offer a range of programs covering every year level, from Tux Paint, Type and Maths and various titles of EdAlive software for the younger students through to Adobe Master Collection and Autodesk products for the senior students.

The use of electronic whiteboards is encouraged at RDAS and many teachers take advantage of this.

The school has a Moodle running and students area encouraged to use this as part of their learning. It enables students to work online from at home or using any of the computers in the school.

Roxby Downs Area School has recently installed a Remote Desktop Environment for both staff and students to access from home. It enables users to access the schools software as well as a host of other applications including the ability to print to the schools printers and to access the users files on the school network.
